The Pastoral Care Department provides Spiritual assessment and emotional/spiritual support for each patient admitted to Beatrice Community Hospital .
The Chaplain is available to listen to concerns, fears or anxieties of any patient, family member or staff, offering a ministry of hope, spiritual healing, and compassion.
Each patient receives an initial visit, and depending on their wishes, the chaplain facilitates visits by family clergy, continues to visit and support, or leaves the patient to the support of their family and friends. The chaplain can also arrange for Sacramental needs as desired by the patient.
The current chaplain has dogs which are certified in pet therapy, and upon request, will bring a dog for visitation.
A Quiet Room is located across from the nurses station on the second east floor of the hospital. It is always open for prayer, meditation or personal reflection. It may also be used by family members for a quiet place to have conversations or family discussions.
