The Intensive/Critical Care Unit provides care to a variety of patients including:

• those experiencing serious heart and lung problems
• those needing ventilator support for breathing
• those requiring close monitoring and frequent assessments because of an unstable condition or following a complicated surgical procedure

The unit at BCH consists of three fully equipped but comfortable private patient rooms, which allow intensive patient monitoring by our specially trained critical care registered nursing staff.
